I know it’s a bit late. But I gotta do this sooner or later (it took me quite a while to resize the pictures). During the following 2 or 3 days, I’ll post a series of photos I took during the period that the Beijing Olympics was being held, most of which had no direct relation with the Olympics itself.
Armed security yelling at a homeless man.
Passengers sitting on the square in front of Beijing Railway Station, waiting for their train.
Girl posing on the elevator newly installed on both sides of the cross-street bridge in front of Beijing Railway Station.
Family taking pictures on the bridge. The background is Beijing Railway Station.
Explosion proof device inside Subway Line 5.
Security working inside Zhang Zizhong Lu Subway Station. Zhang Zizhong (1891-1940) is a national hero who fought against the Japanese invasion army during the period between 1930s to 1940.
Stone lion sitting in front of the entrance of one of the best live music and party venues in Beijing, Yugong Yishan.
Front gate of a historical building on Zhang Zizhong Road.
Inside the door used to be the royal residence for the 3rd daughter of Emperor Qianlong, Princess He Jing.
Traditional residence, now offices for finance firms.
A car parked in front of a Siheyuan. It said “No Parking” on the door.
Peeking into another Siheyuan.
A dog gazng outside of a dress shop window.
A smaller dog enjoying bone inside a wine shop.
No traffic on this side of the road. Hard to imagine before the games.
Stay tuned. More photos coming tomorrow.
